Parenting has never been more complex—or more full of possibility.
We’re raising children in an age where artificial intelligence shapes what they see, how they learn, and even what they believe. Without wisdom and guidance, AI can become just another voice pulling them away from what matters most. But in the hands of a thoughtful, Christ-centered parent, these same tools can spark creativity, deepen relationships, and give us more time for the things that truly last.

That’s why Parables for Parents exists. Each week, I weave together the timeless wisdom of Jesus’ parables, the practical insight of pediatric medicine, and creative ways to use AI at home. You’ll find strategies for guiding your children through real-world challenges—ADHD, blended families, grief, screen time—while keeping the heart of your home rooted in God’s truth. Together, we’ll learn how to lead with attention, raise resilient and compassionate kids, and use every new tool, including AI, to build a family life that is whole and holy.

Parents today are raising children in a digital environment unlike anything previous generations have faced. Artificial intelligence is now part of everyday life—shaping what our kids see, how they learn, and even how they form relationships. While AI offers powerful tools for creativity, education, and connection, it also brings risks:

  • Misinformation & bias in AI-generated content

  • Erosion of attention through overuse of screens and automation

  • Loss of critical thinking when tools do the work for us

  • Shallow relationships if technology replaces meaningful connection

Most AI discussions focus on business, productivity, or education policy—not on parent-led strategies that keep family values, child development, and spiritual formation at the center. Without intentional guidance, AI risks becoming another force that shapes our children more than we do.
